This western part of the site includes a circular structure, adjoined by a whole network of room structures. This building displays formal features similar to the circular construction outside the settlement, but unlike that it was within the walled area of the settlement. Its central, core position in the western sector seems to be due to the building’s age and its important role in the social life of the settlement as, like the turriform building, a whole area of the settlement developed around it. At present, the functionality and chronology of both the enclosure and the adjoining structures are totally unknown; it is to be hoped that future excavations will shed light on this.
