Around the turriform (tower-shaped) building there are numerous adjoining structures with different floor plans that have been interpreted as living areas where some of the community in the settlement lived. Some of these structures were partially excavated in the 1960s and 70s, and work has been done recently to remove loose stones and reinforce them in order to restore and understand how the settlement was organised (in 2016-2020). Most of these buildings seem to have been built during the Iron Age (850-123 BC), but there is evidence that they were reoccupied and modified in later periods, such as Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The chronology and functions of each of them remain uncertain.
